Arrived on Sedona, Day 0322

I went down planet side and met with Agata for a few hours while the rest of the crew stayed on the ship while it refueled.

Leaving Home, Day 0319

Left Halo, collect data for dossier. Alice, Drek, & Zane King join the crew of the Kestrel. We had a brief meeting to put together a dossier. It went as well as could be expected. Many of the older crew members were shy to share their skill sets. At the very least I think every one has a better about who are.

Home, Day 0280

We arrived back to Home where our ship was waiting for us. I think we were all ecstatic to return to the Kestrel. Unfortunately for us something was waiting for us and it wasn’t the ship. A former had snuck aboard and was crawling around in our vents. We managed to force it to come out in the mess hall where it was annihilated almost immediately. It left a hell of a mess. All of our beddings had to be replaced and the ship required a detailed cleaning.

Kairi thought it was best to keep the body so that it could be dissected. Which was ultimately a good idea because we ended up discovering the pathogen: a bug inside the subjects brain. Once the procedure was finished we destroyed the body.

Shin, Day 0267

After a bit of searching we found Mikoto again this time in a bar. We laid out our proposal, we’d pay her to protect our identities as well as give her false information about Amira’s whereabouts in exchange for work as well as our documents on the formers we had encountered. She agreed to our terms and we left the system.

Shin, Day 0265

The crew of the Kestrel, minus John, and Mortdecai took the shuttle down to Shin to meet with the third pirate king. During the trip to Shin I tried to spend my free time with the man who we brought along. Unlike the siblings he was to be sent to Shin hospital. I never learned his name. I hope he’s okay.

It took a little bit of searching but we found her in an alley way next to a dead body, Akio Mikoto, leader of the Banshees. We made our introductions to her. When it came Amira’s turn she tried to probe into Mikoto’s mind which she instantly knew about. She then began to verbally probe Amira. We learned from Mikoto that she was a princess, one that was currently being hunted by her planet.

The Captain asked for two days so we could figure out what we were going to do knowing that Amira, and by extension us, were being hunted. Once we left he then demanded that everyone come clean if they had any secrets to reveal. Kairi told us she had formerly been a member of the Banshees before she joined the Angels.

I ended spending the rest of the day following the Captain around Shin eating street food and bar hopping. I also bought cute shirt that reads “I ❤ SIN”.

Drerth, Day 0259

We entered the solar system and got into position. John dropped us off at the pick up site and flew off to avoid being his by all the fire. We got the device in place and started it up. What we didn’t expect to happen was that the ground was going to shake the ground with each pulse it sent out. We came under fire and eventually when the device had the reading on the prison John blew a hole into the ground and we jumped down into the prison.

The room we dropped was set up like some medical bay but the tools that had been scattered about by the collapse of the ceiling said otherwise. It was a torture chamber and it was disgusting. We made our way further into the prison. We found an incinerator along with a storage closet. As we began to open the doors we were ambushed by a woman who appeared as if she had been merged with a beetle.

We dealt with her and then began searching the rooms for the siblings. We found them but not before we found a man whose limbs had been pinned to the wall with large nails and his tongue cut out. Drake pulled them off of him and set him aside with his quilt set over him. Alice, Drek, and Zane King were not in good shape. We gathered them up along with the other man after opening all the cell doors and prepared to make our exit. As John was dropping down the ropes for us, Drake dropped all his spare guns to the few prisoners who were able to get out telling them to run.

The ride out was terribly. Drake broke his hand as soon as we took off, Joseph almost fell to his death twice, dislocated his shoulder, I was smashed into a building, and we were almost shot down. But we made it thanks to John and Anya. We returned to the Fallen Angel and made our exit from the system.

Halo I Orbital Refueling Station, Day 0252

We made the delivery to Mortdecai. He was pretty pleased with the work we did and ended up offering us a job with the Angels. It paid well but required that we leave the Kestrel behind for a few weeks. We agreed and were lead to their secret base. Before that though Kairi joined our crew as our new medical officer but not before the Captain let slip that we had several psychics in the crew to her and Mortdecai.

Once at their base we met with Mortdecai and Dr. Darren Wilson, the second pirate king. A plan was laid out with us at the center. We would be the crew flying in to rescue several of the Angels members who had been captured over Drerth. They were being held in a secret government prison underground. With use of a very nice technology from the Doctor we’d break through the top, find them, and escape the planet while the rest of the fleet offered air support.

We packed our things and boarded the Fallen Angel. It is a beautiful pre-tech ship that I would have loved to have seen more of (large pre-tech in such pristine condition is rare). I wasn’t the only one interested in the ship, Kairi snapped a picture of it which was a little confusing giving that she is an Angel and has probably seen it before. We were put into a small room with two beds. We’ll see how this situation plays out.
